Municipal Registration (Anmeldung)
Deadline: Within 14 days of arrival
Processing Time: Same day.
Fees: Free to small admin fee
Appointment: Walk-in at your municipal office.
Required Documents:
- Valid passport or ID card
- Residence permit
- Rental contract
Where to Do It:
Your Gemeindeverwaltung (municipal office). Liechtenstein has 11 municipalities: Vaduz, Schaan, Balzers, Triesen, Eschen, Mauren, Triesenberg, Ruggell, Gamprin, Schellenberg, Planken.
If You Don't Do It:
Fines may apply for late registration. Required for all local services.
Regional Variations: Each of the 11 municipalities has its own Gemeindeverwaltung.
